Celebrating Pacific Cuisine....
/Well, this is the final day of our training and everyone is amped and excited. Ater a long and arduous assembly of produce and other cooking ingredients , we head down to the Fiji National University's training kitchen to begin prep for the big finale dinner to end the conference on Agritourism, celebrate our week's accomplishments and enjoy the best Contemporary Island cuisine to be had anywhere (not my words). A hard but enjoyable day's work at FNU, a big transfer of foods back to the Tanoa International's kitchen, where amazingly Chef Sainivalati and his crew shared their busy work place with us as we all finish off our dishes for service. Welcome speeches, introductions, joyous eating, farewell speech by the Hon. Minister of Agriculture, Inia Seruirata, certificates for farmers, social media, and Chefs, then photos, drinks, dancing and farewells.....the end to an exciting and educational week in Fiji.
